Delete your Name Jar account
You can request deletion of your Name Jar account and associated data without reinstalling the app or making a purchase.
Request deletion by email
Email support@greenbean.studio with the subject Name Jar account deletion. When possible, send the request from the email address used for Name Jar. If you cannot access that address, explain that in the message. We will verify account ownership before taking action.
This link opens your email application. Nothing is sent until you send the message. Never include your password, sign-in code, private invitation link or payment-card information. You can also ask to access or correct your data through the same address.
Delete from the app
In builds with connected account features, sign in and open Settings & privacy → Account actions → Delete account. Review the deletion preview and confirm only if you want to proceed. Recent sign-in may be required. If the action is unavailable or fails in your test build, use the email route above.
Delete some data without deleting your account
Email support@greenbean.studio with the subject Name Jar data deletion and describe which data you want removed, such as testing feedback or a particular eligible suggestion. We will verify ownership and explain any data that must remain. Do not email the contents of a private jar or an invitation link. In the app, an owner can delete a jar and a contributor can remove eligible open-jar suggestions. Previously disclosed selections in another person's finalized jar are subject to the retention exception below.
What is removed
Deletion removes your account and profile, registered devices and memberships, unused credits, and all jars you own. Owned jars disappear for every participant, including their names, invitations and reveal records. Your contributions to other open jars are withdrawn. This cannot be undone; export anything you want to keep first.
What may remain
Previously revealed selections in another person's finalized jar remain until that jar's owner deletes it. Private authorship is detached from your account. Minimized purchase replay-prevention records and deletion completion receipts have no automatic expiry in the current testing service and may be retained indefinitely for replay prevention and reliable deletion. Records needed for security, disputes or legal obligations may also remain for those purposes. Copies already exported or saved by another person are outside our control. See the privacy policy for retention details.
Uninstalling or signing out does not delete your cloud account. Local solo jars and exported backup files are separate: remove local app data and any files or device backups you no longer want. Wait for in-app or support confirmation before assuming cloud deletion has completed.
